I founded Dunwoody Urgent Care, with the help and support of my wife Roxanne, more than 10 years ago, and I have served as its sole owner and medical director since that time. My family and I have lived in Dunwoody for 14 years, and our children have all attended Dunwoody public schools. We are enthusiastic supporters of Dunwoody culture, including sponsoring and/or providing medical support to Lemonade Days, Apple Cider Days, Stage Door Players, the Dunwoody Nature Center, and numerous elementary, middle and high school teams and events.
The entire staff of Dunwoody Urgent Care is committed to serving the community of Dunwoody and its surrounding areas by providing best-quality, easily accessible medical care. Since opening in November 2005, Dunwoody Urgent Care has taken care of over 33,000 patients, totaling well over 62,000 visits. More than two thirds of these patients are from the Dunwoody area.
At DUC, we try to keep it simple. People sometimes ask “what do I need to do to get taken care of at Dunwoody Urgent Care?” It’ really easy – just turn the door knob and walk on in. We’ll do everything we can to take great care of you in a time-efficient way.
“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” Dunwoody Urgent Care was once again proud to be a Gold Sponsor and official first aid provider at

They were great. Back spasm, couldn't hardly breathe and they took me right in. Dr. Casey Newman Locarnini was fantastic. He looked me over, did some physical tests and then explained exactly what was happening. I will recommend this clinic. AND it was very reasonable cost. Would have cost me more at my primary doctor for an office visit. THANKS for your wonderful care.

About Dr. Locarnini
Dr. Casey Locarnini (“Doc Loc”) has over 25 years of experience as a physician, and has been Board Certified in Emergency Medicine since 2000. He attended Tulane University School of Medicine on a Navy scholarship, and after completing a rotating internship at Naval Medical Center, San Diego, practiced aviation medicine as a Naval Flight Surgeon based in Washington, D.C. Following four years of supporting both Naval and Marine Corps aviation, he went on to complete a 4-year residency in Emergency Medicine, also at Naval Medical Center, San Diego. Upon finishing his residency, Dr. Locarnini spent another 2 years supporting the Marines, this time as head of Emergency Medicine at Naval Hospital, 29 Palms, California, home of Marine Corps Desert Warfare training.
Having proudly served as a Naval Medical Officer for over 10 years, Dr. Locarnini transitioned to the world of civilian medicine, practicing for the next four years in both the Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine settings in the Atlanta Metro and Savannah/Fort Stewart areas. During his time in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Locarnini realized that he wasn’t able to give patients the attention and quality of care he felt they deserved. Dr. Locarnini was taught by the example of his father, a beloved small town doctor in rural California, that spending time with a patient, being attentive and really listening are essential elements of being a great physician. Continuing to follow in his father’s footsteps, Dr. Locarnini decided that to deliver medical care the way he wanted, he would have to start his own practice. So, in 2005, “Doc Loc” opened Dunwoody Urgent Care. Dr. Locarnini has spent the last 10 years dedicating himself, full time, to the health and well-being of the residents of, and visitors to, the Dunwoody area and he remains the sole owner and medical director of the clinic.
